On-line Access to the Beinecke copy of The Great Mirror of Folly
You can find digitized versions of the Beinecke copy of the Groote Tafereel and of a companion volume containing ephemera documenting the events of 1720, in the Beinecke’s Digital Library: http://beinecke.library.yale.edu/dl_crosscollex/default.htm.
The second volume uses the title page of the Groote Tafereel as its first item, but it is actually a very different work. However, because of the title page, it is also referenced bibliographically as the Groote Tafereel.
Searching for the keyword “tafereel” will pull up the entire contents of both volumes.
Since this will gather all parts of the two volumes in one search, it may be a bit confusing, however. You may therefore want to try the following search instead:
For the printed volume, search under “Call number” for: Z88 009
This will bring up a key image. Then choose “Show all images in this set”
For the volume of prospectuses, search under “Call number” for: 2006 Folio 21
This will bring up all of the associated individual publications in that volume.
Because they are bibliographically distinct, these items are indexed individually,
which means they can be searched with any keyword from their descriptions.
Many of these documents will have multiple image sets.
